Music Ministry

The goal of the worship and music ministry at Leland Community Church is to draw people into a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and to equip them to participate more faithfully in his renewing work in the world, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and to the glory of God our Father.

Our worship and music present the story of the gospel and arises out of grateful response to what God has first done for us through the person of Jesus Christ. We strive for humility in worship, which flows from a thankful heart. We pray that our worship and music lead you to deeper trust in Jesus and greater participation in his mission to the world.

Music in the context of worship has great power. Whether the music is traditional or contemporary, the beauty of sound and the expression of texts draw us into the experience of prayer and praise. Liturgical music, at its best, can lift depression, comfort the grieving, and inspire us to work with compassion for justice.

The Music Ministry is overseen by Margaret Bell, Director of Music & Worship. She is assisted by our Church Pianist & Choir Accompanist, Becky Nies
