Choir meets weekly in the Annie Baker room for sanctuary choir rehearsal.
"A heartfelt welcome to Leland Community United Methodist Church! We are glad you have chosen to visit our website.
We are glad you have chosen to visit our website. It may be that you are visiting us here to find out who we are and what we stand for. If that's you, I think we best introduce ourselves as a diverse group of people united in four ways:
Firstly, we are amazed by God's Grace. We recognize that we “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3.23) and are in need of God’s Grace. Through the self-giving of Jesus Christ, God could give us what we don't deserve – forgiveness, restoration and adoption into his family. This is truly amazing!
Secondly, we are transformed by the power of God’s Word. We are persuaded that the Bible has great power and as the Bible is taught we grow in our knowledge of God and, therefore, in our relationship with him. It is for these reasons that we take time for careful Bible teaching in every Sunday service, and as a natural response to God's Word, we love to sing praises to him.
Thirdly, we are committed to one another. It is clear in the Bible that we are brought together into relationships in a local church for our good and for God's glory. The Christian life is not a solitary journey, but rather a commitment to travel the road of faith with Christ and each other. As such, our congregation strives to love each other and demonstrate this in practical ways.
Fourthly, we are committed to introducing others to Jesus. As we understand the Good News of God's Grace, we long that those who do not yet know the character of God will come to hear of it through the people of the Leland Community Church by introducing people to Jesus Christ and let God do the rest.
Please do join us on any given Sunday. If you would like to, you can listen to one of our recent sermons on this website. For any further information please contact us using the contact form.
